Architecture studio-semester abroad

During the Architecture Studio semester abroad students will develop design concepts for real, modern problems in the beautiful setting of Florence, Italy. The succinct but comprehensive coverage of the multitude of technical issues confronting today's architects is coupled with examples of architecture and design from around the world, focusing on typically Italian and European architecture. The objective of the architecture semester abroad is to develop an understanding of how to design spaces and buildings within the context of an urban environment, specifically within the physical and historical context of Florence. Students will gain significant cross-cultural benefits by expanding their knowledge and appreciation of Italian and European society. All courses are taught in English.
